I think that It's Tricky is my favorite older female in racing, but she did not run well at all today despite winning the Odgen Phipps Handicap at a mile and a sixteenth. The field as a whole all ran pretty flat, besides longshot Cash for Clunkers who was on the lead running the until the last 1/16 of the race, she ran a great race for her price. It's Tricky, just pulled in front to win by 3/4 of a length. Awesome Maria finished third. Where was she? What happened? It just seemed like she didn't have it in her today. She's All In finished fourth, and Juanita, the winner of the La Trionne on Oaks day finished fifth.
The filly and mare division is going to be tough this year, and right now, these ladies need to pull it together.
