Royal Academy Passes Away

Royal Academy, winner of the 1990 Breeder's Cup Mile has died yesterday of old age, at age 25.  He was by Nijinsky and out of Crimson Saint.  Royal Academy is also the grandsire to champion Black Caviar (who is currently 19-0)  In his seven starts Royal Academy was 4-2-0, with earnings of $725,167.  He spent the last 5 years of his life at Coolmore Australia.
